Generating Sustained Growth

As cliched as it might sound, Mike Zafirovski needs to radically increase the presence of Nortel in emerging markets if such double digit growth rates have to be sustained. Undoubtedly, generating sustained growth, credibility and effective marketing are key concern areas for Mike. But of all lessons, the most critical one that Mike needs to teach Nortel is the one on public relations. With the past accounting scandals tainting Nortel’s public image, high net worth accounts especially large government businesses would remain out of Nortel’s grasp. Till now though, the best PR move for Nortel remains bringing in Mike Zafirovski.
