IIPM Publication :- Facing the challenge

IIPM MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE
With his in-depth understanding of the travel and tourism industry, Ankur has not taken long to push Amadeus India into a market leadership position (it now has a 50% market share in the Indian subcontinent). Ankur affirms, “As of now, close to 60% of all travellers across India, use our technology.” On how he has enabled sweeping changes in the sector, Ankur explains: “These processes were earlier time consuming on telephone or manual, but now, with our processes being in place, it saves a lot of time for travellers, airlines and travel agencies, so that they can concentrate more on sales.”

With an object to make the most of the booming aviation sector, Ankur knows how to keep the Amadeus flag flying and has the future vision perfectly chalked out: “In the areas of operations, where we are, we want to grow, and in the areas where we are the market leaders, we would like to continue and sustain our market leadership, and in areas where we have just entered, we will make an impact in areas such as hospitality, airport services. In terms of technology provision, we are the number one company in India.”
