Dawn cracked next day with a persistent trring of the telephone in my head; Finlay had planted himself at the lobby with plans to whisk me to Edinburgh. The capital city of Scotland and among the European continent’s most significant commercial focal points, Edinburgh is a smooth hour-long drive from Glasgow, and as we arrived, I was stunned to notice the old-world charm that painted the city – famed for its bustling avant-garde milieu – in an ethereal hue. I had heard of Scotland’s most renowned landmark – the Edinburgh Castle – but the imposing nimbus of this stately spectacle left me at a loss for any form of vocal flattery.
